Winter Solstice Celebration

As per Britannica Encyclopedia, Winter Solstice (or December Solstice for people in the south) marks the moment during the year when the path of the Sun in the sky is farthest south in the Northern Hemisphere. At the winter solstice, the Sun travels the shortest path through the sky, and that day therefore has the least daylight and the longest night.

In India, it is also known as “Dakshin Aayan”.

A tentative celebration program has been organized for club members.
